Senior Services is launching Main Street Connections, a new program through the Williams Adult Day Center for older adults experiencing early memory changes or frailty while remaining largely independent. Hosted at the Intergenerational Center, the program offers a supportive, group-based environment where participants can build friendships, stay active, explore new interests, and remain connected to their community. Each session includes learning, movement, creative activities, meaningful conversation, shared meals, and intergenerational connection. Cost: $59 per day, including meals, snacks, and activities.

Heart makes volunteering simple by providing a fun, engaging curriculum and on-site support, so no teaching experience is required.

Undue Medical Debt is the nonprofit partner helping North Carolina implement its medical debt relief program. Over $6.5 billion in medical debt has been erased for more than 2.5 million North Carolinians. If you receive a letter from Undue Medical Debt, your debt has been officially wiped out — no action is needed from you. LVCM CDC's Healing Without Debt initiative partners with Undue Medical Debt and the NC Justice Center to raise awareness, help community members verify their letters, and ensure hospitals comply with charity care requirements. Health in the Streets activations include public awareness and community education about medical debt relief at every neighborhood event.

Cook, Kinesiology) is seeking volunteers ages 30-50 with healthy body conditions and low daily fiber intake (less than 15g/day) for a research study examining the effects of Brewers' Spent Grain (BSG) fiber on gut microbiome and metabolic markers. Eligible participants complete health questionnaires, a body composition test, donate stool and blood samples, and take a BSG fiber supplement. Allergy alert: do not participate if allergic to wheat, barley, or gluten. Participation is compensated with a $300 gift card. IRB-approved.
