Our Work

Our Work in the Community

LVCM CDC operates 9 core program areas — all rooted in the belief that communities transformed from within are communities transformed for good.

🔓Re-Entry & Reconnect

Creating transformative pathways for the homeless, formerly incarcerated, and individuals aging out of foster care. Focused on dignity, restoration, and full community reintegration.

🏠Affordable Housing

Constructing safe, decent, and affordable housing while rehabilitating substandard buildings. Replacing blight with opportunity — one neighborhood at a time.

🌆Neighborhood Transformation

Addressing the key social determinants of health through targeted partnerships and interventions. From economic stability to environmental health — we work all of it.

💡Entrepreneurship Development

Acting as an economic catalyst to expand business opportunities in underserved areas. Supporting management skills and entrepreneurial growth to foster self-sufficiency.

👶Early Childhood & Neurodevelopment

Aligning early childhood resources in childcare deserts through the Family, Friend & Neighbor Child Care Alliance. Building developmental foundations for the next generation.

🤲Community Building & Economic Empowerment

Fighting gentrification through Land Trusts and Land Banks. Providing micro-loans that transition into grants for small businesses rooted in the community.

❤️Social Support & Holistic Development

Providing spiritual development, counseling, and social services — honoring the whole person: spirit, soul, and body.

🏘️Neighborhood Network

Boots-on-the-ground Neighborhood Network Moderators building trust block by block. Empowering resident leaders to address social determinants of health from within.

🎓Capacity Building & Human Capital

We don't just build programs — we build the people who build the programs. Neighborhood Consultants, Community Innovations Labs, Systems Change Workshops.

RESTORE: Transforming Lives. Ending Violence. Restoring Communities.

RESTORE — Resilience, Engagement & Safety Through Outreach, Relationships & Empowerment — is LVCM CDC's comprehensive Community Violence Intervention initiative, serving high-risk youth and adults across North Carolina's most impacted counties.

Powered by the CoreShift Framework, RESTORE takes a data-driven, relationship-first approach to reducing gun violence, homicides, and community trauma. Our credible messengers — Violence Interrupters, Outreach Guides, and Case Managers — meet people where they are, walk alongside them through transformation, and hold the system accountable with full audit trails and transparent outcomes.

RESTORE is built to be superior to every existing violence intervention model — because North Carolina's communities deserve better.
